LibGuides (Research Guides) are course- and subject-specific webpages created by librarians to support student research. These guides provide curated resources for specific disciplines (e.g., Healthcare Management, English 1301) and help students locate materials for assignments or improve research skills using different content types, such as scholarly articles, images, and newspapers.

Why Embed a LibGuide in Canvas?

Embedding a LibGuide in your Canvas course ensures students have quick and direct access to research materials without needing to navigate away from their learning environment.

How to Embed a LibGuide in Canvas

1. Navigate to the Canvas module where you want to add the LibGuide.
2. Click the "+" button in the top right corner of the module.
3. In the pop-up window:
   • Select "External URL" from the dropdown list.
   • Enter or paste the LibGuide URL in the URL field.
   • Provide a name for the page.
4. Click "Add Item", and the LibGuide will appear as part of the Canvas course.
