    Laptops and VR Headsets are available for 24-hour checkout (or determined time period for headsets) at the Circulation Desk. Borrowers are responsible for any damage to the item that occurs during checkout time. Upon checkout, students must complete and sign the Technology Equipment Checkout Agreement

    Meta Quest 3 VR Headsets are available for checkout with approval from the Division Coordinator and Faculty for specific courses. These devices are not available for general checkout. For more information, please contact your Division Coordinator.

    Borrowers must return items with all parts. The borrower is responsible for paying the replacement cost for the part (see table below).

    Galveston College students, faculty, and staff can print in the library with two printers. 

    Printer 1 (LibrarySecurePrint): located in the front of the library in the Copy Center with print, copy, and scan to email options. 

    Printer 2 (Lab_R116): located in the computer lab with the option of duplex or double-sided printing. 

    • Free, limited printing is available with a max of 25 pages per day. 
    • Print, copy, or scan to email.
    • Print from any computer in the Computer Lab or Cyber Cafe.
    • Wireless Printing available.
    • Print in black & white only. 

    Wireless printing is available from personal devices by accessing Library Secure Print, through the Whitecaps Portal. 

    How to Connect to Wifi:

    • Select the "GC-WiFi" network.

    • On the login screen, type your username or Whitecaps email address and password.

                                    

     

    The Topaz XL HD is a desktop video magnifier which can be used to enhance the readability of printed material. The TOPAZ can be used to read  items such as books, documents, microfiche, or various other items with small or difficult to read text. To use the magnifier, please speak to a member of the library staff at the circulation desk to assist you with preparing and operating the device.
