I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX, and a Master of Library Science from the University of North Texas. My background includes experience in public libraries, and I’m passionate about empowering students with information literacy skills, helping them feel capable and confident in their research.

Outside of work, I’m an avid explorer of new hobbies. Some favorites that have stuck with me include cross-stitching, playing the clarinet, journaling, geocaching, running 5Ks, and gardening. I cherish time with my mom, partner, and dachshunds, and on weekends, you’ll often find me hiking, enjoying nature, and soaking up the sunshine. Traveling is another passion, and my favorite destination is Prince Edward Island, Canada.

As a librarian, I naturally love to read! While I lean toward nonfiction, especially personal development and memoirs, I’m also a big Stephen King fan. Stop by my office or send me an email with your spookiest reading recommendation—I’m always on the lookout for my next thrilling read!
