Finding Nursing Practice Tests
Nursing Entrance Practice Tests
PrepSTEP offers practice tests covering material found on the HESI, TEAS, RNSAE, and APNE exams.
How to Find Nursing Entrance Exams:
- Option 1: Click Career Preparation > Scroll down to Prepare for Nursing Exams > Select Prepare for Nursing School Entrance Tests and choose a test.
- Option 2: Type "nursing school" in the search bar. A list of nursing school entrance exams will appear, select a test and click Start Test.
Nursing Licensure/Certification Practice Tests
PrepSTEP provides practice tests for NCLEX-RN, NCLEX-PN, and Nursing Assistant/Nurse Aide exams.
How to Find Licensure/Certification Exams:
- Option 1: Click Career Preparation > Scroll down to Prepare for Nursing Exams > Select a test and click Start Test.
- NCLEX-RN®
- NCLEX-PN®
- Nursing Assistant/Nurse Aide Certification
- Option 2: Type "NCLEX-RN" or "NCLEX-PN" in the search bar. A list of NCLEX practice tests will appear, select a test and click Start Test.
Starting a Test
- Log in and select a test.
- Click Start Test.
- Choose a test mode:
- Simulation Mode mimics the actual test environment.
- Practice Mode allows you to review answer explanations after finishing.
- Learner Mode provides feedback after each question.
- Click Start Test again to begin.
- You can complete the test in one sitting or save and resume later.
Viewing Results & Tracking Progress
- After completing a test, click Score My Test to view your results and explanations.
- To track progress, click Your Name → My Center at the top of the screen.
- My Center stores completed and in-progress tests, allowing you to resume where you left off.
By following these steps, you can effectively prepare for nursing entrance and licensure exams while tracking your progress in PrepSTEP.
