    • Access Online Resources

    Current GC students, faculty, and staff can access the Library’s licensed online resources on or off campus using the same login as their GC email.

    • Students: Log in with your Whitecaps email (firstname.lastname@whitecaps.gc.edu) or your GC student ID followed by @whitecaps.gc.edu (e.g., GC0123456@whitecaps.gc.edu).
    • Faculty & Staff: Log in with your GC email address (e.g., jdoe@gc.edu).

    All users are required to verify their identity with Microsoft Authenticator for two-factor authentication. Keep your mobile device nearby to complete the process.

    Logging In

    When you attempt to log in, the first screen you will see is the sign-in page:

    After entering your login credentials, you will be prompted to verify your identity using two-factor authentication. Take note of the number displayed in the box on the screen:

    Your device with the Microsoft Authenticator app installed will display a notification. Tapping the notification will take you directly to the verification screen. If you do not receive a notification, open the Microsoft Authenticator app manually and select Galveston College.

    Microsoft Authenticator will then prompt you to enter the number shown on the login screen. Enter that number and tap Yes. If correct, you will be successfully logged into your account.

    After successfully logging into your Whitecaps account, you should be automatically verified when accessing other library resources until your account requires reauthorization through Microsoft Authenticator.
