Things Are A Little Different, But We Are Back On Campus!

COVID-19 Library Reopening Guidelines

On Monday, July 20th, the library team will be back on campus. All online virtual services are still available and we will continue to serve students, faculty, and staff in a virtual environment.

Upon entering the library, all library patrons must wear a face covering at all times while in the library and adhere to all CDC and institutional social distancing guidelines.

Spaces and Seating:

  • Cyber Cafe and Study Rooms are closed until further notice.
  • Library Seating is limited to follow social distancing guidelines.
  • The Computer Lab in the library is open with limited seating.

Check out and Return of Items:

  • Books will be pulled from the library shelves by STAFF ONLY.
  • To checkout print library materials all patrons MUST make a hold reservation for designated pickup times by appointment only
  • All books MUST be returned to the exterior book drop in the hallway before entering the library. Book returns WILL NOT be accepted by library staff at the circulation desk. All books returned to the library will be placed in quarantine for 3 full days before they will be handled by staff and available for checkout.

Faculty: We encourage you to schedule Zoom Library Instruction Sessions.

Be sure to share the Distance and Online Library Resource page with all students! This guide is designed to help students at a distance or taking online courses to locate and use GC Library's online resources and research tools. This guide is also designed to help faculty and staff become more familiar with online library resources and services to help our students be successful in their research and use of the library.

Having trouble accessing library resources? Take a look at the Off-Campus Access page for assistance!
