Editorial board
The Advances in Applied Probability has been published by the Applied Probability Trust for over four decades, and is a companion publication to the Journal of Applied Probability. It contains mathematical and scientific papers of interest to applied probabilists, with emphasis on applications in a broad spectrum of disciplines, including the biosciences, operations research, telecommunications, computer science, engineering, epidemiology, financial mathematics, the physical and social sciences, and any field where stochastic modeling is used.

This journal publishes results of the latest research in the areas of modern general algebra and of logic considered primarily from an algebraic viewpoint. The algebraic papers, constituting the major part of the contents, are concerned with studies in such fields as ordered, almost torsion-free, nilpotent, and metabelian groups; isomorphism rings; Lie algebras; Frattini subgroups; and clusters of algebras. In the area of logic, the periodical covers such topics as hierarchical sets, logical automata, and recursive functions.

The oldest mathematics journal in continuous publication in the Western Hemisphere, American Journal of Mathematics ranks as one of the most respected and celebrated journals in its field. Published since 1878, the Journal has earned its reputation by presenting pioneering mathematical papers. It does not specialize, but instead publishes articles of broad appeal covering the major areas of contemporary mathematics. American Journal of Mathematics is used as a basic reference work in academic libraries, both in the United States and abroad.

The American Statistician ( TAS ), contains timely articles organized into the following sections: Statistical Practice, General, Teacher's Corner, Statistical Computing and Graphics, Reviews of Books and Teaching Materials, Letters to the Editor, History Corner, and Interdisciplinary.

The DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals) was launched in 2003 with 300 open access journals. Today, this independent database contains over 15 000 peer-reviewed open access journals covering all areas of science, technology, medicine, social sciences, arts and humanities. Open access journals from all countries and in all languages are welcome to apply for inclusion.

The Journal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications presents papers that treat mathematical analysis and its numerous applications. In applications the journal emphasizes articles devoted to the mathematical treatment of questions arising in physics, chemistry, biology, and engineering, particularly those that stress analytical aspects and novel problems and their solutions.

JSTOR is a digital library of academic journals, eBooks, and primary sources. This database includes content across the humanities, social sciences, and sciences. The library does not subscribe to JSTOR, this content is accessible through open access.

Research in Mathematics is a broad open access journal publishing all aspects of mathematics including pure, applied, and interdisciplinary mathematics, and mathematical education and other fields. The journal primarily publishes research articles, but also welcomes review and survey articles, and case studies.

Understanding Statistics aims to make psychologists and other behavioral scientists aware of relevant recent developments in statistics, point out current poor practice in their use of statistics, illustrate innovative uses of software, highlight software inadequacies, and generally make non-statisticians in a variety of disciplines more aware of what modern statistics has to offer them. This journal welcomes well written articles presenting non-technical accounts of the use of recently developed statistical methods in the social and behavioral sciences as well as, articles illustrating the advantages of newer statistical methodologies over those traditionally used in these disciplines. In addition, this journal publishes articles that point out examples of current bad practice in the application of statistics by researchers in the area and describes innovative uses of software.
