In-Class or Virtual Instruction Sessions
By request, we provide tailored instruction sessions for your classes. Sessions can be delivered online via WebEx or Teams or in person on campus. Instruction can include:
- Basic library orientations
- Advanced research techniques
- Database navigation and search strategies
- Support for specific research assignments or projects
Research Lab: A hands-on workshop where librarians provide personalized help in a classroom setting. Students refine research questions, find credible sources, and enhance search skills using library databases.
Embedded Library Services and Canvas Integration
Bring the library directly to your Canvas course with our embedded services. Choose from:
- Custom Modules: Tailored research modules designed specifically for your course.
- Embedded Tutorials: Tutorials with assessments, synced directly to the Canvas gradebook.
- Virtual Librarian: A librarian embedded in your course to provide ongoing support and answer questions.
Information Literacy Tutorials
Our Do-It-Yourself Information Literacy Series offers asynchronous tutorials through the GC Library Tutorial Academy. These tutorials are open to anyone: students, faculty, or staff, and can be completed independently to build essential information literacy skills.
Faculty also have the option to assign these tutorials for extra credit or as graded assignments. When assigned in Canvas, all grades automatically sync to the Canvas gradebook.
