I began my studies with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX. I worked in public libraries while attaining my Master of Library Science degree from the University of North Texas. I am passionate about sharing information literacy skills with others and helping students feel capable and confident with their research.

Outside of work, I have a new hobby every month. Some that have stuck though, are: cross-stitching, playing the clarinet, journaling, geocaching, running 5ks, and gardening. I love spending time with my mom, partner, and dachshunds. On the weekends you will find me outside in nature, soaking up that Vitamin D. I love to hike and travel whenever I can. My favorite place to travel is Prince Edward Island, Canada.

Obviously, as a librarian, I love to read too! I am mostly a nonfiction reader; I enjoy personal development books and memoirs. But I am also a big Stephen King fan - stop by my office or shoot me an e-mail to give me your scariest reading recommendation!

Outside of work, I am an avid traveler passionate about exploring new destinations, cuisines, and cultures, and spending time with my family. Whether wandering through bustling markets or trying exotic dishes, I thrive on new experiences and meeting people from diverse backgrounds. My journey began at Texas State University in San Marcos, where I cultivated a love for learning and embraced a positive outlook on life.

As I pursue my master's degree, I continue to seek adventure and growth, cherishing every opportunity to expand my horizons and make meaningful connections along the way.
